What is the Education Zone and why should it be important to me?
The Education Zone is a new section on WebSphere.org , which features calendar listings for upcoming training sessions scheduled, e-learning courses, certification information and tips on a variety of topics about WebSphere product and related training. The goal of the Education Zone is to create the world's largest, most comprehensive training schedule and information around the premiere web platform, WebSphere -all found in one location.

How many user groups are there that participate on Websphere.org?
The audience includes physical user groups and virtual user groups. There are more than one hundred local user groups actively participating on the site and the number is growing everyday. The virtual user group is also growing at a rapid pace with registrations from over 20 countries. The joint goal with IBM, is to double the number of participating user groups by year-end. As a representative sample, there are more than 1,000 people participating in the NY user group, alone.

How will these user groups know about the Education Zone being established?
The user groups have already been notified through the regular Global WebSphere eCommunity Newsletter and the Education and Certification Bulletin that the Education Zone is being launched in March 2003. They are encouraged to provide feedback and suggestions on areas of interest and training.

The WebSphere.org site has been running since 2000, but the Education Zone is a new section targeted for launch in March, 2003.

How much will it cost me?
The fee is just $1000 per year to post your calendar listings for training-or just $20 per week.

Can I have as many training listings as I want for that fee?
Yes, you may have as many WebSphere and related training listings as you offer per year for the set annual fee of $1,000.

What if I'd like just one listing, what would the cost be?
For a one time, on-demand listing, the fee is $500.

Yes, American Express is the easiest payment method, but you may also use our PayPal Service for payment.

When will the service become activated and how soon can I see results?
The service will become activated as soon as payment is received and upon activation you will get immediate exposure to the worldwide WebSphere community.

For an additional fee of $5,000 you may become a sponsor and have exposure to regular features such as the Ask the Expert column, a persistent display of your corporate logo and other editorial opportunities available to promote your training.

Additional promotional opportunities included in the sponsorship package are: bulletin listings, inclusion in a push monthly newsletter. We will send you a template via e-mail for you to return with your training information, or if you already have an electronic copy of your training calendar, you may submit that directly via email.

Why should I list my training schedule now if it isn't offered until the Fall?
Our registrants tell us that they schedule their training well in advance, based on their work assignments and other factors. Therefore, it is beneficial for you to post your training calendar now, even if the specific training is not offered until the Fall timeframe.
