Congratulations to Andy Hamblett, who was the 400th new member of the Global WebSphere Community in March 2007. This makes Andy the first winner of the joint GWC and IBM Press Membership Promotion - Andy received 3 free books, a value of over $125! Andy found the GWC when searching for WebSphere resources on the web via several Google and Lycos searches. He was looking for resources that would provide real insight into the use of IBM WebSphere products, which is not covered in the product documentation. What better place to find such info than a WebSphere User Group? Andy plans on joining and attending future meetings of the RTP WUG. Andy is a Principal Software Engineer for BluePhoenix Solutions, where he has worked for over 12 years, initially as a technical consultant before switching to R&D and having previously been a customer. He works in the Architecture team for BluePhoenix's AppBuilder product, a model-based development environment. BluePhoenix Solutions (NASDAQ: BPHX) leads the Enterprise IT Modernization (EIM) market by developing unique solutions that enable companies to automate the process of modernizing and upgrading their existing mainframe and distributed IT infrastructure, thus quickly and cost-effectively extending the ROI of their IT systems. The company's comprehensive suite of tools and services (including technology for Understanding, Migration, Remediation, and Redevelopment) reduces the cost of renovation and speeds up the renewal process. BluePhoenix has over 500 employees staffing 12 offices throughout the world, including locations in the USA, UK, Denmark, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Israel, and Australia.
