WUG Leaders' Blog Kickoff
As the GWC enters new stages of growth and worldwide awareness, we have developed a tool for WUG Leaders to share their thoughts with each other and the Community at large. Recently, GWC members had a great showing at IBM Impact 2007, with almost 600 members attending the conference, including 33 Leaders and IBM Liaisons. We managed to sign up an additional ~300 by recruiting at our pedestal, and other GWC Sessions. This outstanding presence is just one example of the vibrant community the GWC embodies.
www.WebSphere.org – the online information hub of the GWC - has also seen impressive growth in recent months. The Global Presentations page has over 70 presentations posted, which have been downloaded over 2150 times. Our online Forums section continues to be quite active, in which membership is approaching 2900 individuals. Overall GWC membership is now in excess of 19,000 members.
Among all of these members, the WUG Leaders are the ones making it happen. By planning engaging and informative meetings, they are giving these people a compelling reason to join the Community. We appreciate their contributions, and look forward to reading their stories and opinions on this blog!
